"My goal is to support Ron Brewington and the Motown Alumni Association in getting over one million signatures when the campaign ends September 25th," says Cozart.

Joining Cozart on "Stars for Marvin" is Motown Legend Smokey Robinson; Multi-Platinum Artist Brian McKnight; Martin Luther King III (Leader SCLC); three-time Academy Award Nominee Morgan Freeman; Jamie Foxx ("Ali," "Any Given Sunday," "In Living Color"); Don Cheadle ("Ocean's Eleven," "Swordfish," and "Traffic"); Director Carl Franklin ("Devil in a Blue Dress," "High Crimes," and the upcoming Denzel Washington thriller "Out of Time"); Tennessee Titans Star Running Back Eddie George; Maurice Greene (fastest man in the World and USA Track & Field Gold Medallist); Hidden Beach Recordings; The Heritage Network; Jordan Brand, and many others. "Marvin Gaye definitely deserves his own stamp," says Larry Miller, President, Jordan Brand.

"I SUPPORT A STAMP FOR MARVIN GAYE" (then sign it) and send to:
Los Angeles Motown Alumni Association
6305 S. La Brea Avenue, Suite 3
          Los Angeles, CA 90056

"We will forward all signs of support for the 'Prince of Motown' to Washington, DC," says Brewington, "before the committee meets in October."

It is hoped that Gaye can get the stamp on what would have been his 65th birthday on April 2, 2004.

Gaye has received numerous honors for his musical achievements, including inclusion into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS), two Grammy Awards, a Star on the world famous Hollywood Walk of Fame and inclusion on Hollywood's RockWalk.
